Intro to Polo Clinic hosted by J&J Polo

J&J Polo will be offering an introduction to polo clinic next Saturday, December 10th at 9am at the Horse Park. This clinic is designed for new to polo players who are looking for a taste of the exciting sport! This clinic is perfect for that friend of colleague of yours who has admitted their interest in the sport of kinds but has yet to saddle up and give it a try. It’s also a great holiday gift idea! Founder’s Day Schedule

Hi everyone. We look forward to a great Founder’s Day Tournament. Players be ready to play on time. We have lots of polo. Note most of you have other duties assigned to you when you aren’t playing. Lunch will be served in our picnic area from Noon till 2 pm. Get your lunch tickets when you sign in and pay your entry fee. We’re kicking off the day with the USPA Arena Master’s Cup, starting at 10 am which will be a very competitive event and one all of you won’t want to miss. So we urge all of you to come early and stay for the day.

The Sweet Shop (in the center of the show grounds) will be open to the public all day, selling snacks, lunch foods and beverages.
We are honoring our polo club founder and avid player, my Dad, the late Dr. Tom D. Harris. He was a retired US Army Cavalry Officer, having served in the 11th Cavalry, in C-Troop both on and off horses before, during and after WW II. He grew up in Texas and later lived in Woodside, and practiced veterinarian medicine in the Bay Area. You will find some of our teams playing in the afternoon are named in honor of Tom Harris, reflecting his background.

Learn to Play Polo! A Two Day Clinic focus on youth in polo October 22 and 23

Square Peg Foundation has teamed up with the Horse Park Polo Club and the Polo Training Foundation to bring you an opportunity that can’t be missed!

Clinic Includes:

Professional instruction from Wilbur O’Ferrall of the Polo Training Foundation. Read Wilbur’s bio here.
Introducing you and your horse to the game, the mallet and the rules.
“Chalk Talk” discussion on rules, penalties and strategies of the game.
Time in the HPPC Hitting Cage to learn how to manage the mallet and get the most out of your swing.
The opportunity to watch the Stanford Polo Club practice. Meet the players!

You provide:

a sense of humor and eagerness to learn!
helmet and eye protection for you
leg protection for your horse
an English Style saddle

Saturday’s classes will be split into groups of similar experience and ability

Sunday we will make teams and have matches
